Apple’s smartwatch sales have surpassed the entire Swiss watch industry last year.
Apple shipped around 30.7 million of its smartwatches in 2019. Conversely, all the Swiss watch brands combined only shipped around 21.1 million during the same timeframe.
Last year, Swiss watch brands experienced a fall in their sales by 13 percent while Apple enjoyed a 36 percent increase in their smartwatch sales.
The success of Apple smartwatches has led to many other traditional watchmakers to make their own brands smartwatches.
Apple smartwatches are also one of the leading smartwatch brands here in the Maldives.
