The much anticipated Patina Maldives Fari Islands has appointed Areef Mohamed as Airport Operations Manager. In his new role, Areef will be responsible for curating the Patina Maldives’ airport arrival and departure experience as the resort readies to welcome its first guests in Q2 2021.
Areef joins Patina from his current role as Airport Operations Assistant Manager at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. This will not be Areef’s first pre-opening experience as he previously assisted in setting up the airport operation for St. Regis Maldives as a Senior Airport Butler. During his time at St. Regis, Areef completed Marriott International’s career development program and graduated as a key performer.
With 10 years’ experience in the industry Areef built up his impressive guest service knowledge starting as a Housekeeping Villa Attendant at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Maldives. He then moved to Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru where he worked as a Housekeeping and Laundry Attendant and then as a Guest Service Agent partially looking after airport services prior to taking on his first international assignment. Areef then spent three months experiencing cross exposure training as a Guest Service Supervisor at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles.
Areef will join Patina Maldives Fari Islands on 11th March 2021 as part of their pre-opening team.
