The American Center Maldives (ACM) has announced that it would be hosting an online workshop by the name of ‘Beyond Fake News’, focusing on media literacy and fact-checking for journalists in the Maldives.
According to ACM, they will be hosting the one-day webinar on November 5. It will be held via the online platform Zoom at 4pm and is expected to last approximately two hours.
Participating journalists will get the opportunity to hear and learn from 4 experienced media professionals in the Maldives. They are:
- Mohamed Junayd — Maldives Correspondent for Reporters without borders
- Nasma Abdul Muhsin — Media Professional
- Ali Naafiz — Freelance writer and PR Consultant
- Moosa Latheef — Editor of Mihaaru (Local media outlet)
