The list of beneficiaries for Binveriyaa and Gedhoruveriya Scheme land and flats will be revealed next week.
The opportunity to apply for land and flats was made available to the public on June 26 last year as part of the government’s housing policy. The application submission period lasted until October 16, 2022, during which a total of 20,697 applications were received for flats and 15,164 applications were submitted for land.
Under the government’s “Binveriyaa Scheme” and “Gedhoruveriya Scheme,” the administration is aiming to allocate 4,000 flats and 3,000 plots to the city’s residents. Among these, 1,000 plots and 4,000 flats will be distributed in Hulhumale’, while the remaining 2,000 plots will be allocated in Gulhifalhu.
In the Presidential Statement, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced the allocation of additional plots in addition to the existing 5,000 plots that had already been assigned. This move aims to provide further housing opportunities to meet the growing demand for accommodation.
