Unlike previous years where closing time is extended from day one of Ramadan, this year, economic ministry has decided to extend the closing time before one week to Ramadan.
Economic Ministry have announced that the closing time of shops will be extended to 11pm effective from tonight till the end of Ramadan followed by the end of 6 fasts of Shawwal. Cafés and restaurants will be opened till 1am effective from tonight till Ramadan, and will be opened till 3am from day one of Ramadan till the end of 6 fasts of Shawwal.
The normal closing time of shops is 10pm and the closing time of cafés and restaurants is 12am; hence, during Ramadan, the government allows shops, cafés and restaurants to extend the closing time.
