Leading Corporate Training Institute of Maldives, CTI Maldives is conducting a Sexual Harassment Awareness Program this month. It is designed for everyone and aims to raise awareness of workplace sexual harassment.
Sexual harassment is a range of actions from verbal transgressions to sexual abuse or assault which can occur not only in a work environment, it might happen anywhere. Many people are not aware of what actions can be taken when such incidents happen.
Workplace sexual harassment takes many different forms. It can come from a coworker, a supervisor, or a customer or client, and ranges from unwanted touching, inappropriate comments or jokes, or someone promising you a promotion in exchange for sexual favors.
Sexual harassment does not have to be “sexual.” It can also look like teasing, intimidating or offensive comments based on stereotypes or even bullying someone or a group of people based on their gender identity.
The purpose behind CTI Maldives’ Sexual Harassment Awareness Training course is to provide the necessary tools and information to identify, prevent, and most importantly, remove sexual harassment from the workplace.
The training will highlight into areas such as how to protect oneself against these kinds of assaults, from learning to recognize sexual harassment and understanding the self-discipline, the proper professional conduct at work place.
The training will also cover the appropriate corrective actions to take in the event of an occurrence such as the legal acts in place.
Training is one of the most effective and efficient approach to reduce such unacceptable behavior and create awareness amongst the society.
