Maafaru International Airport has welcomed 8 private jets- in a single day! The airport has seen an increase in jet landings since the country reopened its borders.
The General Manager of Maafaru International Aiport, Mumthaz Ali revealed that yesterday saw the highest movement in the airport and that it will continue to improve in the future. He further adds that while the number of tourists to Noonu Atoll resorts have increased, the majority opt for high-end resorts.
The airport is scheduled for six new international flight movements by the end of this month and expects the number of flight movements to be higher in the upcoming days. Mumtaz stated that 15 private jet movements have already been reserved for the Christmas holiday.
