Dhiraagu has announced its position as the Digital Partner for the #GirlsCan campaign, a collaborative initiative by Australia’s NETFIT Netball, Green Streets Netball, and MV Netters.
NETFIT Netball is the no.1 netball digital programme with over 100,000 members worldwide. The main aim of this #GirlsCan campaign with the company is to foster netball development in the Maldives and empower girls through sports.
Within the next three weeks, elite Australian netballers Sarah Wall – CEO and founder of NETFIT – Sharni Norder will be conducting a series of on-site training programmes in the Maldives, including clinics for netball academies, coaching workshops and sessions with netball clubs and the Maldivian national netball team. The team will also carry out mass classes for schools where young players can learn new skills, such as teamwork, and build confidence through physical activity.
Empowering young people and enabling them to ‘take on tomorrow’ is a key focus area of Dhiraagu’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. As such, supporting initiatives such as this is an important part of the company’s work to develop Maldivian sports and help enhance the skills of local athletes.
Dhiraagu continues to support and collaborate on projects which empower youth and strengthen communities through sports and recreation.
