Maldives Airports Company (MACL) has revealed that they are preparing to bring in four new airlines to Maldives. According to the managing director of MACL, Adil Moosa, the four airlines which are commencing its operations are French Airline; Air France, Italian Airline; Alitalia, a Bangkok Airline and an Indian Airline.
According to Adil, Air France and Alitalia is all set to begin its operations in the winter season of this year. He also added that the paper works of Bangkok and Indian Airlines are also processing and that it will begin the operations before the end of this year.
Air France will begin its routes from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport to Velana International Airport with weekly 2 trips effective from 1st November 2017. They will be using their Boeing 777-200, 312 seats air craft for their operations in Maldives.
Moreover, Alitalia will begin its routes from 31st October 2017 onwards with weekly 3 trips. They will be using Airbus A330-200 with 250 seats air craft for their routes to Maldives.
