Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an MoU with Children of Maldives, with the aim to instill reading habits in the community through improved access to a variety of books.
The MOU signing took place during a special function held at HDC, last Thursday. Under this partnership, the Foiy Gaadiyaa in Hulhumale’ will be expanded with a Haruge.
Foiy Gaadiyaa was initiated in 2018, to provide accessibility for people to read and donate books. The new expansion project will allow a safe environment for people to read and a place to hold events.
Children of Maldives is an organization based in Hulhumale’, creating program under their three values: we can, we care, we celebrate. The organization has conducted multiple events targeted for children such as photography, surfing and reading competitions.
