There has been a 10.8% increase in the Central Bank’s reserve by the end of December 2017.
In their financial statement for the month of December 2017, Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has stated that by the end of 2017 there has been an increase of MVR 387.4 million in their reserve.
There has been an increase of more than MVR 30 million during December 2017.
According to MMA’s financial statements, their reserve had MVR 349.3 million by the end of November 2017.
While MMA’s reserve had MVR 387.4 million by the end of 2017, there had been MVR 231.3 million in their reserve by the end of 2016.
Earlier in 2017, MMA had stated that they expected their reserve to increase to USD 480.1 million.
MMA expects their reserve to increase up to USD 593.6 million by the end of 2018.
