Educonnect Introduces Finland Education in the Maldives

Educonnect Pvt Ltd (a company associated with Islanders Education Pvt Ltd) has partnered with Finnish company EduCluster Finland Ltd to bring Finland Education to the Maldives.

EduCluster Finland, owned by University of Jyväskylä (one of the oldest and largest universities in Finland), currently owns and operates the Qatar Finland International School in Doha and is opening their second school in Abu Dhabi later this year. The Finland International School proposed to open in 2019 in Malé will only be the world’s 3rd Finland international school outside of Finland and the first in Asia.

The agreement to introduce Finland education in the Maldives was signed on 10 February 2018 at an event hosted at Hotel Jen, where various top officials and dignitaries from the government, state institutions, embassies and corporate organizations took part in.

During this event, Islanders Education Pvt. Ltd. also signed an agreement with Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to develop and operate an International School in Hulhumale. This school will be managed by Educonnect in collaboration with EduCluster as a Finland International School once opened in 2020.
