Laniakea Education Pvt Ltd has partnered with ISIC Global Office to represent the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) in the Maldives. ISIC is the only internationally accepted proof of bona fide student status, and is owned and governed by the non-profit organization, the ISIC Association.
ISIC card which is also endorsed by UNESCO and hundreds of governmental and non-governmental institutions worldwide, allows its holders to gain preferential access to a multitude of products, services and experiences throughout the world. The ISIC card is administered and managed at a global level by the ISIC Global Office B.V. (IGO), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Established in 1953, each year millions of valid cards are in the hands of students across more than 130 countries.
As the official representative of ISIC in the Maldives, Laniakea Education would be offering International Student Identity Card (ISIC), International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) as well as International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC). While ISIC is targeted at students only, IYTC is targeted for youth under 30 years of age who are not eligible for ISIC. ITIC enables full-time teachers and lecturers to enjoy benefits similar to ISIC.
Cards would be available for sale from January 2019 onwards.
