Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has denied allegations that the company intends to lease the new seaplane terminal to TMA.
MACL stated the company wants to assure the general public that they do not have any such intentions as the facility is designed and intended for multiple operators.
However, circulating news contradicts MACL’s statement as there have been indications that the company intends to lease 90% of the lounge area to TMA, which can also be subleased for resorts. This would give an unfair advantage to TMA as resorts will prefer airline operators who can rent out a lounge area.
