Maldive Gas has established an automate LPG Filling Plant and a Conveyer System in their Thilafushi station. This plant is designed for a complete automatic gas filling process where it washes the cylinders, dries and fills them.
After the official launching of this new plant by the Chairman of Maldive Gas, Ahmed Shifan, the process of how this plant operates was demonstrated to the board members and the executive team of Maldives Gas.
The entire operations of LPG are fully automatic, where the transfer of gas cylinders to the vessel is done via an automatic belt as well. Moreover, there is a system which shows when the cylinders are filled to the standard weight, this system is also accessible through mobile phone.
MVR 16 Million was spent on the completion of this project by Maldive Gas in collaboration with an international company. The practical work of this project was commenced on September last year and was finished on the 23rd of last month.
According to the Managing Director of Maldive Gas, Abdulla Maumoon, with the installation of this automatic plant, the speed of gas filling will be hassle-free and time-saving.
