Maldives Sees a Surge in Tourist Arrivals with an 11.6% Increase

The Maldives has experienced a notable uptick in tourism in the first three weeks of the year, with 128,548 tourists visiting the island nation. This figure represents an 11.6% increase over the same period last year, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism. The growth in tourist numbers can be attributed to the diverse range of countries from which visitors are arriving. Russia leads the pack with 14,495 tourists, followed closely by Italy with 13,965. The United Kingdom, China, and India also contribute significantly to the influx, with 10,689, 10,113, and 9,744 tourists, respectively.
