Minister of Foreign Affairs has met with several Heads of States and Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement Heads of State and Government Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Minister Shahid met with South Asian and East Asian leaders including H.E Ashraf Ghani, President of Afghanistan; H. E. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal; H. E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh; H.E. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan; H.E Mahatir Mohamed, Prime Minister of Malaysia, H. E. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal and H.E. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India to discuss bilateral issues and strengthen further relations with the respective countries.
He also interacted with H.E. Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and met with his counterparts on the sidelines of the NAM Summit during the weekend.
This includes meetings with H.E. Khusrav Nоziri, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan; H.E. Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; H.E. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Lao PDR and H.E. Bruno Rodriquez, Foreign Minister of Cuba.
Foreign Minister Shahid traveled to Baku for the NAM leaders’ summit on behalf of His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
