The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced changes to the process of requesting credit information for both individuals and companies, today.
As of today, those seeking their credit reports are now required to use the eFaas verification system for authentication. This means that requests for credit reports will no longer be through video verification methods, effectively discontinuing this practice starting from 10th November.
The credit requests will now be handled by the Credit Bureau website at www.cib.gov.mv through eFaas and eFaas verified accounts.
With the new changes, credit reports will be made available within three business days of the request.
However, in light of these changes, the MMA has urged individuals and companies not to share their eFaas login credentials with anyone.
