Maldives Ports Limited’s (MPL) statistics reveal that they successfully cleared a total of 1,313 TEUs of cargo from the 11th of August to the 17th of August.
The company disclosed that out of the total cleared containers, 619 were 20-foot units, whilst 347 were 40-foot units.
During the same period, nine vessels arrived at Male’ Commercial Harbour. This comprised six container vessels and four general cargo vessels. The company managed the loading and unloading of 2,753 TEUs, equivalent to 1,821 containers.
MPL’s data further highlighted the types of perishables processed during the week. These included a variety of fruits and vegetables such as watermelons, pumpkins, pineapples, cabbages, tomatoes, onions, and potatoes, along with eggs.
