The new shelter was inaugurated by the CEO of MPL, Mohamed Waheed, alongside Ibrahim Waheed, the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, Principal Secretary to the President on Public Policy, and Ibrahim Shujau, a member of the Male’ City Council from Hulhumale’.
Labourers interviewed by PSM News expressed their gratitude to President Dr. Muizzu and his administration for taking action to address the challenges they have faced in their working environment over the past two and a half decades.
MPL has described the new shelter as a modern, two-story building designed with the specific needs of the workers in mind.
