Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided updates on their ongoing projects at HDh. Kumundhoo, Ha. Ihavandhoo and S. Hulhudhoo.
Firstly, MTCC stated that they have mobilized HDh. Kumundhoo Harbor Development project site on 24th February 2022. Scope of work for this project involves, dredging and excavation operations of 14,301 cbm, construction of a 242m breakwater, a 198m revetment and installation of navigational aids. This project is valued at MVR 35.6 million.
Next, under the Ha. Ihavandhoo Harbor Development Project, MTCC stated that the fifth shipment of rock boulders required for he project has been delivered to project site on 23rd February 2022. Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 30,509cbm; the construction of a 95m quay wall; a 284m breakwater; and a 178m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 4,582sqm of paved area will also be undertaken. This project is valued at MVR 59.07 million.
Finally, MTCC has also completed the harbor bridge column works for S. Hulhudhoo Harbor Development Project. Quay wall concrete works are currently ongoing. The S. Hulhudhoo Harbour project consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 88,623cbm; construction of a 114m breakwater; a 624m revetment; a 742m quay wall; 2,250 sqm of paved area and installation of streetlights. This project is valued at MVR 66.3 million.
