Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), has assured that they will not cut the supply of water to any residence in Male’ amid the COVID-19 crisis in the city for any reason, including delay in payment of bills.
MWSC Managing Director Hassan Shah has stated that the company has given unofficial instructions to its disconnection team to not disconnect water to any residence.
He further stated that if the supply of water is disconnected for any reason, customers can contact its number 105 and they will reconnect the supply.
He also noted that they are prepared for a surge in water usage, however, water usage has been dropping for the past few weeks.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, MWSC has been supplying one-ton of water to each residence free of charge and the government will be subsidizing 30 percent of water bills to help the public.
