“My Career Portal”, officially launched by the National Career Service (NCS) on August 10, serves as a comprehensive national platform designed to connect job seekers directly with employers across the Maldives.

According to officials from the National Career Service, a core feature of the portal is its focus on career guidance and skill development, particularly for students and young job seekers unsure of their professional path. They noted that users can book online consultation sessions directly through the platform to meet with career guidance advisors. As stated by the officials, these consultants help evaluate individual strengths, identify necessary qualifications for specific industries, and recommend targeted training courses offered by registered educational institutions connected to the system.

The agency further explained that the portal introduces automated notifications to send real-time job alerts via phone and email whenever relevant positions in a user’s selected field become available. Additionally, officials reported that the platform offers ongoing support for unsuccessful applicants by identifying missing skill sets and providing guidance to help improve their overall employability for future opportunities.
