Mrs. Mariyam Maaisha Shujau has been appointed Secretary General of the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM).
This appointment was made during the 10th Executive Board Meeting in early October. She has been an executive board member of the NBAM since 2021 and has experience handling major events within the association.
The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has been representing the boating sector of the Maldives tourism industry since its formation in 2007, previously known as the Liveaboard Association of Maldives. Their primary objective is to unite all stakeholders in the industry to promote and foster sustainable growth collectively.
The association also conducts safety and training programmes relevant to the sector, engages in advocacy efforts with the government and corporations on behalf of the industry, and concentrates on various development aspects related to the boating industry.
