TTM Organizers, Maldives Getaways expects to have over 3000 meetings scheduled by the end of the month discussing over USD $ 1 billion worth of business contracts. Over 2000 prescheduled meetings have already been set to take place at Travel Trade Maldives (TTM).
As the main component of TTM that connects the travel trade community of Maldives, Using the handy Connect software, registered users can pre-schedule face-to-face meetings with the most powerful decision makers in the industry. Over 100 hoteliers have set meetings with over 150 agents and tour operators from across the globe.
All hoteliers and agents are given the ability to set prescheduled meetings of 15 minutes totaling 40 meetings in the span of 2 days of Travel Trade Maldives. Meetings are expected to go on from 11 am to 6 pm on the 12th July and 9 am to 6 pm on the 13th of July with snack breaks in between. TTM would be the first of its kind to be held in the Maldives aimed as a platform where stakeholders of the industry would meet in one place to finalize deals that would define the tourism industry of Maldives.
World tourism is seeing an ever-increasing growth, while the Maldives government has plans to develop over 50 resorts before the end of 2018. A major focus of TTM is to address ways in which demand would meet the ever-growing supply planned for the tourism industry of the country while looking at the future. It is estimated that by the year 2020, Maldives would have over 50,000 beds.
