Prior to his appointment, Naseem was a Minister at the President’s Office. He was appointed to the role on October 22nd, following the sudden resignation of former Minister of Health, Abdulla Ameen.
Naseem served in senior roles during the administration of three presidents including Ibrahim Nasir, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Mohamed Nashid. He was the Foreign Minister from March 2011 to February 2012.
