Two directors have been removed from the board of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), with the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announcing the changes without disclosing the reasons.
The decision takes effect on Thursday and concerns Executive Director Mohamed Mihadh and Non-Executive Director Sahar Waheed.
Mihadh was appointed to the MACL board on 26 April 2024 and also serves as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. The announcement concerns his position on the board.
A CIMA Chartered Management Accountant, Mihadh’s previous roles include Chief Financial Officer and board member at the State Trading Organization (STO). He has also held board positions at MIFCO and MSS, served as Chairman of FSM and worked as a partner at KPMG Maldives.
Sahar joined the MACL board on 24 December 2023. She has more than 17 years of experience in the financial sector, including work in risk management, compliance and operations.
A Chartered Banker, Sahar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of the West of England.
