Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, has met with the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment of Australia Dan Tehan, this morning.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both State Minister and Australian Trade Minister held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economic and trade cooperation, education, people to people contact and environment and climate change.
State Minister Khaleel also expressed appreciation for the multiple contributions made by the Australian Government that played a key role in the Government’s efforts to controlling the COVID-19 outbreak within the country. Both State Minister and Australian Trade Minister also reassured commitment towards working closely on furthering collaborations on the multilateral front.
State Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Shiuneen Rasheed, Joint Secretary, Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim, Assistant Director and Hussain Azhaan Mohamed Hussain, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
