The President’s Office has revealed three individuals has applied for the vacant position of Prosecutor General (PG).
The three applicants include former Deputy PG Hussain Shameem, lawyer Ahmed Zaneen, and former PG Aishath Nihaayath.
Previously, the position was occupied by Aishath Bisham who resigned on November 28th. Bisham resigned following the process begun by the Parliamentary Committee on Judiciary to remove her from the position.
