MPL’s assistant general manager Mohamed Mahjoob has given some insight that MPL is set to launch an application for the Touch Link card which will have exciting packages and the ability to recharge the card. Additionally, through the application, the customer would be able to see the location of the bus at a specific time.
Charges for bus travel are being taken from the 1st of January and the only method of payment is through the Touch Link cards. Even though MVR 10 is being charged per trip, no charges are set to be taken from minors and students. MPL said that after the launch of the bus travel there have been more than 5000 people using the bus daily.
