Compared to 2017, tourists have spent 10.2% more nights in the Maldives.
According to the statistics of the Tourism Ministry,
till the last December of 2018, 44,860 beds were registered under the Tourism Ministry. Furthermore, around 41,877 beds were occupied till December 2018, increasing tourist leisure rates by 10.2%.
Compared to the tourist bed rate of 62.1% in 2017, the tourist accommodation rates had increased by 1% in 2018. In addition, several statistics have shown that guests reside at the Maldives for an average of 6.4 days.
The Maldives is shown to have reached up to 1.4 Million tourist visits till December 2018, showing an increase of 6.8% tourist arrival rates compared to that of 2017.
