President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has nominated former Director-General of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), Fathullah Jameel to the post of Commissioner General of Taxation and Ismail Nashid as the Assistant Commissioner of Maldives Customs Service.
The nominations were sent to the economic committee for consultation and further review earlier today.
Fathullah Jameel currently serves at Dhiraagu while Ismail Nashid has been working with Maldives Customs Service for the past 18 years.
The nominations were made following the vacant post of Commissioner General of Taxation and Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation.
Most recently, the posts were served by Yazeed Mohamed as the Commissioner General of Taxation and Hassan Zareer as the Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also sent the 6 nominated names to the post of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation for consultation to the parliament of Maldives.
