Talks are currently underway to improve and expand aviation between Maldives and Thailand, participated by delegations from both countries.
The Maldivian delegation is led by Mr. Hussein Jaleel, Chief Executive of Maldives Civil Aviation Authority, and the Thai delegation is led by Mr. Chula Sukmanop, the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. The official talks are being conducted for two days, at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Maldives, where both countries are negotiating the terms for a memorandum of understanding which is to be signed at the end of the talks.
The new memorandum of understanding will revise and bring amendments to the aviation agreement signed between the two countries in 1989.
