Maldive Gas hosted an event called “Helium Haveeru” to promote their helium gas cylinders and canisters on Friday afternoon. The event took place simultaneously in Male’, Hulhumale’, and Villimale’ between 16:00 and 18:00.
In Male’ the promotional activities took place in three locations: near the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge area, near STELCO building, and inside Maldive Gas Park. In Hulumale’ the activities took place near the Ferry Terminal area and the BBQ area, while in Villimale’ the activities took place near the Ferry Terminal area. The event was open to the public and was a huge attraction for children who visited the stalls to play with the helium balloons distributed freely. During the event, popular boduberu band “Habeys” also entertained visitors with some of their most famous songs.
Speaking to the media, the Marketing Manager of Maldive Gas Aminath Mohamed Saeed said that the promotion for Helium Gas Cylinders had been very successful.
“With every purchase of a 5-liter Disposable Helium Gas Canister, we gave away a pack of balloons for free,” she said. “Each pack contains 50 balloons.”
She also said that a related promotional campaign linked to the event was being run on Facebook, giving a lucky draw winner the chance to win a Helium Gas Cylinder. In addition, Maldive Gas sold 47-liter refillable cylinders at a discount rate at the event.
