Dhiraagu celebrated World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2023 with colourful celebrations across all the regions.
A special talk show by Dhiraagu called ‘Digital Raajje’ was aired today on Television Maldives and SSTV, reflecting on the telecommunications journey of the Maldives. The guests on the talk show were CEO & MD of Dhiraagu, Mr. Ismail Rasheed, Deputy Director of the Communications Authority of Maldives (CAM), Ms. Zulaikha Ibrahim, Co-Founder of Women in Tech Maldives, Ms. Aiesha Adnan, and the Chief Technology & Information Officer at Dhiraagu, Mr. Mohamed Musad. The host of the talk show was Assistant Manager Public Relations at Dhiraagu, Jaishan Hameed.
The guests reflected on how the telecommunications industry began in the Maldives and how the industry has evolved throughout the years up until today. During the talk show, the guests also discussed the advancement of technology in recent years and how it can be successfully used to enrich the lives of people while ensuring a safe digital space for future generations.
To commemorate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, school students from different key stages were invited to visit Dhiraagu Head Office and regional operations centres. Different practical and information sessions were carried out with team members along with Q&A sessions.
Earlier during the day, Dhiraagu also launched their all-new 100GB data packs to commemorate the day and as a way of thanking their customers for over 30 decades of support and trust in the company.
