President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed lawyer Amjad Musthafa as President of the Employment Tribunal.
Musthafa took the oath of office at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning. Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Hameed administered the oath, while President Muizzu presented him with his letter of appointment.
Musthafa holds a bachelor’s degree in Shariah and Law and a Master of Business Administration. He has experience in the legal and public administration sectors.
He previously served as a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board and held the position of Employment Tribunal President in 2020.
