Dhiraagu brings Yonder music! The first international music streaming app in the country

Dhiraagu is proud to introduce Yonder Music, the Maldives’ first comprehensive digital music streaming app with a library of over 20 million songs including the latest chart toppers in English, Hindi and Dhivehi. A joint collaboration between Dhiraagu and Yonder Music Inc, Yonder’s arrival in the Maldives will make millions of songs available to stream and download for all Maldivians.

The service delivers a powerful musical experience combining exclusive content from local musicians, with a comprehensive collection of international major label and independent music. The app has an offline mode which caches tracks onto a user’s smartphone as they play so they may be enjoyed even when offline.

Yonder’s arrival at Maldivian shores was announced at a ceremony held tonight at Sheraton Resort in North Male Atoll. The service was jointly unveiled by Dhiraagu CMO Ms. Isabelle Hajri and Yonder Music Inc. CEO Mr. Adam Kidron. Tonight’s event also featured a star-studded rendition of ZeroDegree Atoll’s classic Dhoni album track Thakurah Baheh in tribute to the late Zero Degree Atoll frontman Ahmed ‘’Fuloo’ Nashid. The all-star version of the song features notable Maldivian artists including Nish, Affan, Unosha, Laisha, Zara, Ammaday, Haisham, Fuji, Fezu and Adhlee. The track was recorded on location in the Maldives and produced in Hollywood, LA by notable Kanye West and Jay-Z collaborator and producer Mr. Hudson.

Speaking at the event Dhiraagu’s Chief Marketing Officer Ms. Isabelle Hajri said “Dhiraagu is proud of its association with Yonder Music. This will change how Maldivians create, play and listen to music. Maldives has many talented local musicians and artists and there is a need for a platform that enables them to showcase their talent while protecting their intellectual property. “

Yonder Music app comes with amazing features such as a first-of-its-kind interactive feature, Snap Karaoke where users can sing and record their own versions of their favourite songs in a video karaoke style. Users can then share up to 29 seconds of their karaoke performance with other yonder users and on social networks.
