Maldives Bureau of Statistics Seeks Public Cooperation for Household Survey

The Maldives Bureau of Statistics is continuing fieldwork for the 2026 Household Income and Expenditure Survey in the Greater Malé region, with selected households set to be visited until 21 July.
In a post shared on X, the bureau said survey teams will visit selected households between 11 and 21 July as part of the ongoing data collection exercise. It also requested the cooperation and support of participating households during the fieldwork period.
All enumerators conducting the survey will carry official Maldives Bureau of Statistics identification cards during household visits, the bureau said.
The Household Income and Expenditure Survey collects information on household income, spending patterns and living conditions. The findings are used in the preparation of official economic and social statistics and to support national planning and policy development.
