Maldives Travel Awards, the premier travel event of Maldives reveals the nominations of Guesthouse Edition 2018, and launches a one month voting campaign to decide the winners. In 15 categories, 111 nominations are registered for the Guesthouse Edition 2018, representing more than 60 travel businesses operating in guesthouse sector.
Guesthouse Edition was first introduced in 2017, as an exclusive platform to celebrate tourism in local communities. Winners in the Guesthouse edition are selected with a combination of popular vote (60%) and traveler ratings (40%) provided by world’s largest travel website Tripadvisor.
Votes are collected online through Maldives Travel Awards website, www.travelawards.com. SMS votes are collected from both networks, Oreedoo and Dhiraagu. Voting period for Guesthouse Edition will continue through 31st July 2018.
Award ceremony for Guesthouse Edition 2018, will be hosted in Hulhumale’ in August 2018 where winners will be announced and celebrated.
