Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has awarded 17 entities under 11 categories the “Ran Laari Award” at the event of celebrate their 7th Anniversary.
Companies that received “Ran Laari Award “are as follows:
Business Profit Tax (BPT): Universal, TMA and Lily Hotels
Tourism GST (TGST) – 150 bed count: Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort
TGST – 150 – 200 bed count: Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru
TGST – over 200 bed count: One and Only Reethirah
TGST – Travel Agency: Splendid Asia
TGST – Domestic Flight: TMA
TGST – Hotels: Hulhule Island Hotel
TGST – Cruise: Four Seasons Explorer
TGST – Guesthouse: Ocean Grand
GST – Large-scale Businesses: CDT Private Limited
GST – Mid-range Businesses: Abdul Raheem Shakir
GST – Small Businesses: Ilaa Maldives
Withholding Tax: Ooredoo Maldives
Bank Profit Tax: Bank of Maldives
Public Limited Company: Dhiraagu
The “Ran Laari Award” is given each year in order to recognize taxpayers who pay tax on time and the highest amount of taxes to MIRA. However, the tax amount paid by these companies were not revealed.
