Maldives Ports Limited’s (MPL) statistics reveal that they successfully cleared 1,499 TEUs of cargo from the 15th of December to the 21st of December.
The company disclosed that out of the total cleared containers, 649 were 20-foot units, whilst 423 were 40-foot units.
During the same period, nine vessels arrived at Male’ Commercial Harbour. This comprised five container vessels and four general cargo vessels. The company managed the loading and unloading of 1,944 TEUs, equivalent to 1,423 containers.
MPL’s data highlighted the types of perishables processed during the week. These included a variety of fruits and vegetables, such as sweet melon, cabbage, onion, yam, rock melon, brinjal, banana, and eggs.
