Bank of Maldives has introduced Self Service Banking in Lh. Hinnavaru, with a new ATM that will support the banking needs of the local community.
In addition to the usual cash withdrawal facilities, the new ATM will support local individuals and businesses to deposit and transfer money on a 24/7 basis. It was officially inaugurated at a ceremony held on the island today by Minister of Health, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, and BML Deputy CEO and Director of Operations, Mohamed Shareef.
The Hinnavaru ATM is part of the Bank’s MVR 300 million investment program to expand banking services and financial inclusion across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shareef said, “We are delighted to support the local community here in Hinnavaru with the launch of this state-of-the-art Self-Service Banking ATM. It marks another important step in our ‘Aharenge Bank’ program, a program that is benefiting individuals, businesses and communities right across the country.”
With a nationwide network of 34 branches across all 20 atolls, 85 ATMs, 4,000 Point of Sale merchants, 200 cash agents, 27 Self Service Banking Centres and 5 Dhoni Banking Units, as well as a full suite of Digital and Online Banking Services, Bank of Maldives is committed to supporting individuals, businesses and communities across Maldives.
