Ooredoo Maldives has reported MVR 122.3 million as its net profit figure during Q1 2021.
According to the company’s quarterly financial report, revenue increased to MVR 447.1 million from MVR 402.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2020. However, it is 17% lower than the first quarter of 2020.
Additionally, the company increased net profit from MVR 104.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2020 to MVR 122.3 million in 2021. The Q1 2021 net profit figure, however, is 14% lower than that of the same period last year.
Ooredoo reveals that revenue from roaming services had decreased as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
