State Trading Organization has signed an agreement with ‘Hope for Women’ to sponsor the rent for their Legal Clinic premises.
The agreement was signed yesterday, on International Women’s Day, at a small ceremony held to officiate the event. Managing Director Mr. Ahmed Shaheer signed on behalf of STO and Ms. Aneesa Ahmed, former Gender Minister and Founding Member of Hope for Women signed on behalf of the NGO.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Aneesa Ahmed expressed her gratitude to STO for their ceaseless efforts to empower women. MD Shaheer also spoke at the ceremony and stated that STO would continue to conduct CSR activities such as this for the betterment and empowerment of women and the society.
STO has been sponsoring the rent for Hope for Women’s Legal Clinic premises since 2014. Under the agreement, an awareness program regarding domestic abuse will be conducted by Hope for Women for STO employees.
