Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has stated that Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) fair, Maldives’ first Travel and Trade show, is a very important event for promoting tourism in the Maldives.
Speaking to news media outlets, MMPRC’s acting Managing Director Haris Mohamed discussed the importance of hosting events to promote tourism within the country, which is severely lacking as of now. He highlighted that TTM has an incredible amount of potential, which was why MMPRC was the first corporation to officially endorse TTM, and that events such as these are the most important steps forward for Maldives tourism today.
TTM is an annual Travel and Trade fair presented by Maldives Getaways, with the ultimate target of attracting 2 million tourists with over $3.5 billion in receipts by the end of 2020. More than 300 hoteliers, suppliers, related industries and travel professionals from Maldives and abroad are expected to visit the fair.
