Bank of Maldives and its staff have supported the Hulhumale’ Children’s Shelter as part of “Roadha Vedhun”, an annual community outreach activity for the Holy month of Ramazan. Each year BML staff launch a bank-wide fund-raising appeal to support a worthy cause, and the Bank also provides a donation.
This year, BML staff presented each of the 82 children at the Shelter with a gift pack of personal items, and the Bank established a library stocked with over 700 books. The “Roadha Vedhun” gifts were presented at a special event held yesterday evening at the Shelter, where staff were able to spend some time with the children and join them for a series of games.
“We are really pleased to have been able to support the kids at the Hulhumale’ Shelter this Ramazan,” said BML Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen. “The Bank takes its responsibility to the community very seriously and I commend our staff for taking this initiative, and for giving so generously.”
