Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has handed over the massive project of constructing the first ever water theme park in Maldives to a Malaysian based company; Miri Housing Development Sdn Bhd. This water theme park will be developed in Hulhumale’ and will be situated next to Youth Park in “Nirolhu Magu”.
According to HDC the 3-D design of this theme park has now been completed and the construction works is set to commence within this year. HDC plans on opening this park before the end of next year.
This park is targeted for both kids and adults and will come with ranges of water slides like spiral slides, speed slides and family slides. Moreover, kids pool, bumper boats, water houses, water rollers, water gyro, aqua loops, fountain square and rivers will be included as well. In addition to these activities, other amenities like food and beverage outlets and a hotel is expected to be built there as well.
HDC believes that this park will be an important step in making Hulhumale’ the youth city.
